Halloween 2009

This year we went to my sister's neighborhood to trick or treat with the kids' cousins. They all had a great time. The neighborhood was packed. Pierce really enjoyed trick or treating this year. At almost every door he just helped himself with the bowl of candy. He knew what he wanted and got it.

THE GOODIES!!!

Birthday Celebration!!

We celebrated Charly's b-day Wed. night as a family. After dinner we did our tradition of watching a slide show of the birthday girl. The kids absolutely love this part. We gave Charly the choice of what she wanted to do first and she picked the slide show.

Next she opened presents. She started with some cards. One from her Grandparents from Rockwall and the other from her Great Grandparents in Wa. They send our kids a 2 dollar bill.

She asked to get her ears pierced this year for her birthday. That will be done beginning of next week when my car is up and running for us to take her. The second thing she asked for was a lite brite. I liked this one because it can be played on all four sides.

What is this?? Yes, something small wrapped in a diaper(my husband did the wrapping).

Charly is our gum chewer. She now has five packs all to herself.

Time for the cake. When I asked her what kind she wanted this is what she said:
"A round white cake with pink icing and white skiggly lines on it."
Once I made the round cake with pink icing she said can you make that into a ladybug.
Here's my ladybug.

The after take of me throwing her face into the cake. How can you not love that smile.
BTW Charly, do you know you have something hanging from your nose?

Every Thursday Charly plays with the same three little girls. We rotate homes and this week happened to be our turn so we had a small b-day celebration with her friends. It started with playing with play-doh and then lunch.

Presents. It was full of little pet shop toys.

We had to play with the toys.

After we got Pierce down for his nap we made play-doh cookies. They turned out so cute and they're eatable as well.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Five years ago today we welcomed our sweet Charlize Marie into our family. The delivery of Charly was the hardest out of all four of my kids, however it was worth every minute of discomfort. Look at her as a baby! AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!

She made us a family of four and Mackenna a big sister.

Her smile has always and still melts our hearts and brightens our day. I always tell her that she's so beautiful when she smiles. Her smile is so contagious.

I picked this photo to post because I love the way Charlize is glancing at her sister. I have several pictures like this. Charly loves and looks up to her big sister Mackenna. She always wants to do what Kenna is doing. They are great friends.

Our Charly is the master of silly faces. She has a great personality that we all love.

We love our Charly and we're grateful she's part of our family.

Inside the Clinger Car

Last week we made a trip to Amarillo, TX in one day for a funeral. We loaded the kids up at 4:45am and arrived to the church building at noon. We left the building at 6pm and arrived home at 1:30am. WHAT A TRIP!!! That won't be happening again with four kids, however I'm very grateful that my husband made it happen for me.
I was born in Amarillo to some great people. Around the corner lived one of the greatest ladies, Sharren Giles, that I know. She was one of my mom's best friends and a great example to me. She passed away so we went up for her funeral. It was worth the drive to see familiar places and people and to hear great facts and stories about Sharren.

Our car is absolutely full with car seats. We have two boosters, one toddler car seat and one infant. That's as full as you're gonna ever see it, folks! We're done.
