Today Pierce got his first hair cut. Pierce doesn't have much hair but the hair he does have was getting long. So a great friend of the family came over today to trim his hair around the ears and the back. Pierce sat so still and calm for Brenda. He was a perfect angel. I personally didn't expect anything else from him. For those that know him know that he's a calm, happy baby that goes with the flow of things. He hardly ever fusses. Brenda was ready to kick me out of the room(she said that kids do better without their parents in the room) to get the job done, but she was amazed that that wasn't needed. Thanks Brenda for coming all the way from Amarillo to do my son's first hair cut(Just teasing- she's here visiting my Mom and it just worked out that she could cut his hair in this trip). Isn't he a handsome little guy.

Can you ask for any more pink?
I thought that I would post pictures of the girls pink room. It's the one room that is completely done. I promise to get pictures of the rest of the house up soon. I'm waiting for my fridge to be delivered tomorrow and maybe gets some pictures on the walls.

Pictures Of May birthday party
These are pictures from Mackenna's parties. She had one with my side of the family at a Pizza place in Plano. That party we celebrated for all who had May birthdays. She shared that party with three of her cousins: Eyan, Adam and Parker and one aunt, Deanne. She had one little party with her cousins here at the house from Eric side.

Happy 5th Birthday Kenna!
I can't believe five years ago today I was in the hospital having my first little princess. Kenna was a very quiet, beautiful, calm baby. Once we got the breast feeding thing down it was easy sailing with her. She has always been a very happy little lady.
Mackenna is defintely pure girl. She loves to do anything from playing dress up, to having her nails done, to wearing all pink. She is a very gentle, loving little girl. She loves everyone around her. She's has a great heart and wants to help with everything. She's concerned for everyone and tends to put them first before herself. She loves to make new friends.
Mackenna was a great first addition to our family. She is daddy's little girl and has always been. She has always just snuggled down and melted in her daddy's arms. Mackenna had Eric wrapped around her little hand the minute Eric laid eyes on her. She will still pick Daddy over mommy any day (which I love to see).
Mackenna is a great big sister also. She was a great helper after Charly joined our family and now she thinks she's Pierce's Mom. She's excited to be a Mother someday and I know that she's going to be a great one.
Mackenna, we love you and we're so glad that you're part of our family. We can't wait to see all the new adventures that will come your way this next year. We're excited to see you go off to kindergarden and whatever else comes your way. You teach us so much from the love you have for others. You're willingness to share with others is a great example. May you continue to excel at all you do.

Lions, Tigers, Bears Oh My!!
One day this past week we took off to visit the Ft. Worth zoo. Eric and I had never been(nor have the kids). The kids took the ride over just fine (thanks for a dvd player in the car). We had a blast. We got to see every kind of animal there is even rolly pollies. Did you know that they displayed rolly pollies at the zoo? I had no idea, however my girls thought that was the greatest things. They love to look for and find them outside. We even found some really big ones while walking around the zoo. The funniest thing was when we went to see the bats. The girls got so scared. Eric and I couldn't stop laughing. Mackenna finally decided to go in a little bit of the bat cave. They finally were okay when they learned that the bats were fake (all but two or three and those ones were behind a glass that could be seen good.
We were all worn out that day. It was a very nice break from unpacking.

We've survived....
It has been a long two weeks but I think it's safe to say that our family has survived the move from Plano to McKinney. We're very grateful for our nice, big home. There is such a different feeling in this home than we've ever had in that tiny apartment. When I say feeling I'm so happy for the freedoms that have come with all this new space that we have. I'm no longer having to yell at the girls for running or being at my feet in the kitchen.
Our time started off with sending our kids to my Mom's so that we could get some painting done. We had a great friend (Rebecca-I owe you!) that helped out with the kids before we shipped them off to my in-laws so we could finish with the painting and packing. All I can say is that we're paying someone next time to paint. It's hard work. The color turned out great. We LOVE it! We weren't the best at the trim work (we chose to tape off everything and it leaked in several places), however Eric and I really enjoyed the time together. We were very unsuccessful at recruiting help with painting (except for my father-in-law helped while the guys set up the trampoline), but we got it done. It's a great feeling to know that we did it. It helps us have more appreciation for it. After all the painting we had the movers come and we had everything over to the new home in four hours. We spent all Friday afternoon and Sat. morning getting as much as of the house ready for the kids to come home around lunch time on Saturday. The girls asked for two things for their new home. They wanted a pink room and a trampoline. Ofcourse their requests were granted. They got one pink room and they loved it. Almost every morning they wake up saying that they slept like princesses in their new pink room. I can't wait until we have an open house to show it off soon. It has been fun to show it off to the family and friends that have made time to come by. We appreciate you all for your support.

It's final. We're homeowners once again! We're so excited. The signing and funding went so quickly this time around. By the time we were done with all of the paperwork we had the keys to our house. It's such a great feeling.
Eric carrying me over the threshold. I think our four year old photographer did such a great job. The first picture she took of us our heads were cut off.
Our first visitors after closing. My Mom.
My Dad.
