This is about my little hubby...
1. What is his name? Eric Don Clinger. He's also known as Husband, boyfriend, pal, daddy(not mine, my children's)
2. Who eats more? depends on what we're eating, but for the most part he does.
3. Who said I love you first? Neither one of us can remember. Isn't that awful?
4. Who is taller? Like I have to answer this one. Eric
5. Who is smarter? Definitely Eric. He absorbs so much more than I do.
6. Who is more sensitive? (sensitive or emotional?) By far I have this one beat on emotional. He's a very sensitive guy especially when it comes to his wife and family.
7. Who does the laundry? I do
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are standing at the foot of the bed looking at it, he does.
9. Who pays the bills? Eric does. I probably should take more of an active role in this, but I do a lot so I pass the buck to him.
10. Who cooks more? I do. I love cooking and baking.
11. What meals do you cook together? Homemade buttermilk pancakes/waffles. I make the batter and he cooks them. We also cook out together. I prep everything and he does the grilling (if home).
12. Who is more stubborn? Depends on the situation and our passion for whatever is going on.
13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? At the beginning of the relationship I would say it was me, but now we both are quick to fix our mishaps.
14. Who has more siblings? I do. Eric has two brothers and one sister.
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I do, but make it look like he does. jk I think it's 50/50.
16. What do you like to do together? Anything and everything.
17. Who eats more sweets? We both love our sweets.
18. Guilty pleasures? Electronics, things for our new home, spoiling our kids with things they really don't need.
19. How did you meet? We grew up in the same stake. We ran into one another after our missions and some college.
20. Who asked who out first? We saw each other at a YSA broadcast. Then ran into one another again at the YSA ward in Richardson. I suggested a restaurant. He called a few weeks later to ask me out. We went to the restaurant and a movie. We ended our first date with a hug and we both knew then that we would be seeing a lot more of each other.
21. Who kissed who first? Eric says that he kissed me first, but I think it was a mutual kiss. In the parking lot of the Dallas East Stake Center(original- I know).
22. Who proposed? Eric He did it at Gloria's over dinner. I kind of expected it, but it was still nice and exciting.
23. His best features? His beautiful blue eyes. His blonde hair (even if you're loosing it). I love his soft gentle hands.
24. What is his greatest quality? Eric is a very forgiving person. He's a great provider, protector and friend. One of his best qualities is his sense of humor. He has always been able to make me laugh and smile.

Out Numbered!!
I had my sisters kids over for a day and I was definitely outnumbered. First of all I had six kids (ages 14,12,6,5,3,&1). Something very different for me was that they were three boys and pure boys at that. One thing that I was constantly finding was this:
All I could think of were the following two things: 1) I hope my girls don't fall in 2)Pierce is going to be a sitter.

Pierce's one year check up
We went Friday, June 20 for his one year check up. He weighed 21 lbs 14.8oz and measured 29 1/4 inches long. One thing that surprised me was that the doctor told me to take him off the bottle. I've never taken my kids off the bottle this early. I've always done it around 14-18months. I introduced whole milk to Pierce at about 11 1/2 months, but he wouldn't drink much of it. He would only sip it. So I tried the next step formula and he took that great. After his doctors appointment we finished that full day with bottles of the next step formula and the next day was his first full day with no bottle. I got him a new sippy cup with a straw and put whole milk in it. He has taken it without a problem. I personally think giving him the milk in something other than the bottle has helped this process. I'm actually very happy that taking the bottle away went as smoothly as it did, however I'm sad because it's my baby. Now we just have a pacifier to deal with, but that won't be done for a while. It will be kept around to use for while he's fussy from teething purposes and to keep him quiet during church.

8 WORDS WOMEN USE
One of my best friends sent this to me. I thought it needed to be shared. Which ones do you use frequently?
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to # 3
(8) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying............F you!
* Send this to the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can
avoid if they remember the terminology.

This morning at breakfast I had a very funny conversation with Mackenna. This is how it went:
Mackenna: Mom?
Me: Yes
Mackenna: Are we the Cleaner's?
Me: We're the Clinger's. Don't forget the "G"
Mackenna: Like "Clin ger" room?
Me: (laughing)you're too funny.
If I'm already posting this blog at 7:30am I'm in trouble. I'm up way too early. I hope my days in tels a nap for me.

All the Special Dad's in my Life!
The first Dad I want to pay tribute to is my dad. He is a great man. He is the hardest working man I know. He has always provided for his family(even if that required him to work three jobs). He has gone through some really tough things in his life and I look up to him. I love you Dad.
The next one is my father-in-law. I respect and love him. He has taken me in as a new daughter and treats me no different then his own kids.
The last but not the least is the father of my children, Eric. He's so amazing with the kids. I'm grateful for him and all the ways he provides for our family.
When Eric's family came over this weekend to have a father's day dinner we had the dad's play this fun game. You have to hold your arm out straight and crinkle five sheets of newspaper. They were all struggling by the second sheet. It was fun to watch and they were great sports. I love all the father's in my life.

These are some pictures from Pierce's first birthday. He was so entertaining to watch. We love this calm guy. He is the first one of our kids to tear into their cake. He made a big mess and even got some cold milk in a big boy glass after eating his chocolate cupcake (we don't think any of the milk made it into his mouth).

Happy 1st Birthday Pierce!!

It has been one year today that this little guy has joined our family. He's one amazing little guy that just melts my heart. We as a family greeted him in his room this morning singing Happy birthday. He was so excited to see us all, but didn't know why we were singing to him. He sat down in his bed and grabbed his blanket. The thing that made my morning was that Eric pulled him out of bed and he wanted me. He is completely a Mama's boy and I love it. Once he gets a little older and Eric's work schedule isn't so crazy I'm sure that will change.
He is quietly into everything. One moment you know where he is, the next moment he is off being mischievous. If he sees that I'm loading or unloading the dishwasher he's right there with me to help or hinder the process. He loves to eat dirt, rocks and sticks. He was amazed when we put him in his new car seat. One thing our family does on birthdays is that we look at past pictures and videos of the birthday person. I'm looking forward to reviewing the past year as a family.
We love you, Pierce. Happy Birthday.

Our Charly!
Sunday after church and naps Charly decided she wanted to change her clothes and this is what she ended up with. A pajama top, her sister's skirt and her brown boots. She's the girl that will change her outfit three times a day, if only mom would let her. Hopefully her sense of style will change(for the good) as she gets bigger.
