My Dad came over today and he surprised the girls by bringing their cousins with him. They played really well together for about an hour. They even got a little dancing in. Hayden and Charly Eyan and Mackenna(forgive Kenna's very messy hair. we didn't go anywhere today so it wasn't brushed.) Eyan wouldn't take his eyes off the camera. He always had to be in front of it, also. Anytime I was trying to take a picture of Hayden and Charly he was right in front of it. I managed to get one picture of the other two by themselves. Pierson with Grumpy. I haven't gotten too many pictures of the kids with my parents so while my Dad was over I took one with him and Pierson. My Dad even braved the trampoline with the kiddos. The girls love being bounced really high by someone. Thanks Grumpy for coming to see us and hanging out. We love you.

Yummy Dinner!!

This evening we decided to have pancakes for dinner. We made it fun and made little cups out of them. One was filled with eggs and cheese. The other was filled with fruit with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It was so easy and fun for the whole family. I think I enjoyed them the most(I ate way too much). Thanks for the idea Christine. Below is how to do it. I failed to bake the shells, but they still were tasty. Baking would definetly help them hold their shape better. I enjoyed them unbaked. I liked my pancake soft(personal opinion).

Step 1: Make your favorite pancake batter but add a few extra tablespoons of water. Add 1 tablespoon at a time to make sure the batter doesn't get too thin. You want the batter thinner than usual but not watery.

Step 2: Use a 1/4 c. measuring cup to add the batter to the pan or griddle. Cook pancakes.

Step 3: Lightly grease your muffin cups with butter. Don't forget the sides

Step 4: Gently press pancakes into the muffin cups. Remember to press around the bottom edges of the muffin cups.

Step 5: Bake in a 325 degree oven for 5-8 minutes.

Step 6: Let pancakes cool in the muffin tin.

Step 7: When ready to serve, remove your pancake cup, place on a plate and reheat in the microwave (if desired.) Fill with yummies and eat!

I hope you all try it. GO AND EAT ALREADY!

Charly has been wanting to cut her hair and donate it to locks of love. I did it over two years ago while we were living in Rexburg. Mackenna did it about a year ago and now she wanted to follow. I did the honors of cutting the pony tail off at the house. Then we went to the salon to get it cut and styled.

Charly was so excited to hold her ponytail.

Here is the new fashionable hair style for Charlize. We had to have it shorter in the back because of the way that I cut the ponytail. With that said, I love it and so does she.

I'm so grateful for two little girls that are willing to share something that they have to help someone else out. All that they understand is that this hair will help make a wig for another little girl who doesn't have her own hair. They know that it's most likely a girl that is or has been sick. The thing that they don't understand is that they are giving more than just hair for a wig. Their giving love, self-confidence and assurance. The nice thing about this experience is that it reminded Mackenna that she wants to do it again. I love my princesses. Continue giving your love in many ways.

All in a good day by the pool. Slurping on Popsicles. I wish I took more pictures of the girls being pushed off the diving board or sliding down the slide into the water. Oh well, we'll just have to do it again Rebecca. Thank you.

Big Trouble!!

Do you think I have my hands full? Pierson is 13months and has evidentally figured out that he can make it up the ladder to the girls top bunk. We usually try to keep their door closed because of the barbies and all the small pieces that come with them. It looks like we'll have to keep the door closed for more than one reason. Enjoy the small video of him climbing his way up until I got too nervous and had to grab him.

Our Fourth of July!

Friday morning started by the girls starring in our local city parade. They rode their decorated bikes for most of the parade. It got hot really quickly. They did a great job at riding and waving at the same time. They definitely thought that they were the star of the show (and they were in my eyes).

Next to where the parade happened was a local antique car show. We went and walked around for a few minutes to oooh and ahh over all the beautiful cars.

Pierce has figured out that the camera will blink a light first and then take his picture so he has started to close his eyes. We love this little guy.

We then had a barbecue at our place with Eric's parents. We hung out until that exciting time to go and see fireworks(which can be a long time for two little, anxious girls). We got great seats across the street from where they were shooting them. We could hear the music and all. It was a great day that reminded us of the blessing we have to live in this beautiful country and the freedoms we enjoy. We love the U.S. of A.
