Bragging Moment for Me

I carpool with someone from my neighborhood and I normally take and she picks up. Today she had doctor appointments scheduled so I was able to get Kenna from school. I decided to walk to get her since it was so beautiful out and because Kenna has been asking to walk home. On our way home she was walking beside me and this is what she said to me:

Kenna: Do you know why you're such a good Mom?
Me: Why?
Kenna: Because you love to do the things that make your kids happy.
Me: You're right Kenna I do love to make you happy. That makes me happy.

I'm so glad that she knows that about me. I hope that she will be the same with her own children. I do find joy in my children and their happiness. I was able to spend last Friday with Mackenna on her first school field trip. I was able to see her face as she rode on a bus for the first time. I was able to walk hand in hand with her around the museum. It was a great day for us both. I LOVE being a Mother.

All My Favorites!!

It's our tradition to give the kids a book that expresses our love to them for Valentines Day. We always write some type of note in the inside of it for them to treasure. This is the one that we chose for them this year. We have always told our kids that they are our favorites. Sometimes it's Mackenna when she's so snuggly and cuddly on the couch with us. Other times it's Charly while she's giving us one of her monkey hugs or just being silly. Or it's Pierce as we're asking him, "who does Pierce love?". I'm so grateful for each one of these sweet kids. I love them and yes, they each are my favorite.

CPA Update!!

Every morning since Eric has taken his third test last month one of the first things he does in the morning is to check for a score. Today was the big moment and he PASSED! We're so excited!! He takes his last test tomorrow. We hope that this will be finished tomorrow. The kids and Mom are ready to have their dad and husband back. Please keep him in your prayers.
I do need to congratulate my brother-in-law, Bruce for passing all his exams. He found out the score of his last exam this morning as well. He beat Eric to the punch by a few weeks and we're excited for his accomplishment. A HUGE celebration is in order next month.
I will let you know once we hear about Eric's last exam results. It takes about 3-6weeks.

Random Pics.

Daddy and son enjoying some bonding time in front of the television.

The girls helping out in the kitchen by shredding some chicken.

Yesterday I watched my niece Sophia for a few hours. She loved giving Charly kisses.

Nothing like drinking some water from a little pink cup.

I couldn't resist taking this picture. One day we'll be able to bribe them with this picture. The old taking a bath with your cousins picture.

Charly loved playing dress up with Sophia.

She walked around in this little red riding hood costume for about an hour.

Two girls in pink.

Me with the three kids under two years old.

The rowdy crew that was here playing all day.

Eight Years!!

Yesterday Eric and I celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. We didn't do anything extravagant which is perfect for us. That's what our lives has been all about together so far. Enjoying the simple day to day things and taking them as they come. We have accomplished a lot and managed to mess things up together, but we've done it together and have loved it so far. We look forward to many more years of accomplishments together.
We're grateful for our beautiful family(see picture at the heading of our blog if you have forgotten how beautiful our family is!) that we've created. Each daughter or son lightens our day in a very different and special way. We love them and are we're excited to see who will join our family in June.

Below is a poem that Eric wrote for me. This is the fourth one that I've gotten. All you have to do is click on it and it will come up bigger to be able to read.

Here is pic of the beautiful flowers that he got for me as well.

Here's to us Eric! Love you.

Eric gave Pierce a hair cut today for the first time. We will not pay $12 to take him to get his hair cut so we're attempting to do it ourselves with our handy clipper/scissor set that we have.

After making all that mess it was clean up time and Eric decided to pull out the vaccuum to do it. I thought Pierce was going to freak out, but he loved it.

It doesn't hurt that Dad makes a game out of it as well.
