Here's The Damage

Eric took these photos last night at the ER with his camera on his phone.

Before:

After:

To reduce scarring we have to keep a hat on him while in the sun and rub vitamin E on it. This poor kid keeps us busy. We're hoping that this is not a yearly tradition for him. There was one guy at the ER last night that recognized Pierce from a year ago. Little embarrassing, but what can you do. Pierce is PURE BOY!!!

You would think having a new baby would be eventful enough for one family in one weeks time, but not for the Clinger family. Charlize had to come down with strep throat. She is recovering great with her antibiotics.
We can't stop there though. Let's finish the week off with a trip to the Emergency room. Eric is on his way without me to the ER with Pierson. Yes, his second trip to the ER in his two years of life. I'm having a very hard time not being there with him. Eric didn't want me to take a newborn to the ER. I also can't carry Pierson or the baby in the carseat (due to my c-section) so I wouldn't be much help.
He was running down the hallway to go get in the bath and fell right into the door frame. He hit his head straight on and spilt his little head open. Luckily Grandma was close enough to swoop him up for us to get him bandage. I was the next one closest and I would have been right with Pierce at the ER getting my incision sight fixed because I would have picked him up.
I'm so grateful for modern medicine. I hope that the hospital is good to my baby.

Below is a picture of Pierce before leaving for the hospital.

We're gonna have to take out extra insurance for this kid. No wonder we only have one boy!

The Results Are In!!!

Our Story.....

Thursday night I was running a 102.? fever and having some lower abdominal pain. Following my doctor's orders we were able to get the fever to go down by taking tylenol and a cool bath. The next day, Friday, I ran a low grade fever most of the day while not on tylenol. That evening it spiked back up to 103.?. We called the doctor again(this time it was an on call doctor for my doctor- he was covering this weekend) and after explaining my symptoms he told me that I need to go to the hospital, be monitored and have some tests run.
I got settled in my bed and they immediately put me on an IV for fluids and then shortly after I was given three antibiotics back to back. They drew my blood and did some urine tests and they all came back positive for an infection in the ambiotic fluid. Both mine and the baby's heart rates were elevated so the baby needed to be delivered quickly. We would have started patocine if I was dilated any but I wasn't so the only option was for this little person was to enter this world via c-section.

Hence the picture of the double doors of where I was wheeled off to.

This is my husband waiting to come back with me. Taking a picture of himself.

Making her debut into this world and straight to the NICU is:

ANDERSEN "ANDI" LYNN CLINGER
7LBS 3.4OZ 19 1/4IN

She came out with the cord wrapped around her neck once and having a hard time breathing. It was very hard for me personally to not hold my baby immediately after having her. I got to touch her soft, little cheek once before they took her off to the NICU. She was given oxygen and several antibiotics since I had an infection. She responded great to it all and I was able to have her back in my room Sunday morning.

She's a beautiful little girl that we're excited to see grow and develop with her own personality. She entered this world with quite the story and I'm sure she'll write her own as she gets bigger.

Any Day Now!!

Any day now our lives are going to be changed for the better. We're going to have our new and last addition join our family. Is it going to pink or blue candies that we hand out? We don't know, but we're excited to find out.

Two years.......REALLY!

Pierce, your sisters were so excited for your arrival. They couldn't get enough of you. They always wanted to hold and kiss on you.

From early on you have thought you could do things on your own ie. swimming.

You make a mess where ever you go. If it's from eating to getting into things you like to make a mess.

One thing that will never go away is how much your big cheesy smile and warm hugs melts your parents hearts.

Pierce you have already given us some many laughs and scares. You are so active and love to get into everything. Many times you try to help and all you end up doing is making a mess.
You love to play outside. You love to jump on the trampoline, swing, and ride bikes. You love playing with your sisters.
You love cars, blocks and really love seeing dogs. You're starting to talk more, but that screaming just won't go away.
You are a mommas boy. Out of the blue during the day you'll just come and give your mom a hug and kiss (which I love).
We love you Pierce and we're so glad that you're part of our family.
Happy Birthday big guy!

UGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Anyone that knows me well knows that I love being a stay at home Mother. I love being with my children and doing the things that make them happy. With that said:
UGGGGGHHHH!!!!
Last night was a beating for me. Mackenna kept us up all night with a fever and blowing chunks(you think she would do this in the toilet, NOPE. It was all over the house). I guess when she woke up to her stomach hurting she procedded to walk around the house looking for us. Meanwhile throwing up the whole time. It was a mess. We had it in the kitchen, formal dining area, office, our bedroom and our bathroom. I can't count how many towels Eric had to use to pick it all up (oh how I wished we had hardwood floors). This morning I'm paying for all this mess. I have laundry out the rear to do. I have to wash all the towels and sheets from our beds. My whole house needs to be disinfected too keep the rest of us from getting sick. On days like this I kind of wished I had a job outside of the home to go to and had someone else to clean this mess up.

This is definitely a hard part of being a Mother.

BOO HOO HOO!!

Today at Kenna's school they had a Kindergarten Celebration. They sang a song, got their certificates and watched a slide show. Afterwards I went back to Kenna's class and she read me a book that she wrote. Yes, there were tears that were shed. I love this girl and I'm proud of all the things she has accomplished this year.
We've enjoyed our time with her teacher, Miss Eldridge, however:

First grade here we come!!!!!
